I've generally done well with Hitachi's cordless tools. Most of them were pretty well made and did the job well. I can think back to a Hitachi cordless reciprocating saw that I had which worked well for about a year and then quit working doing some rather strenuous cutting. But I hate to slap a label on Hitachi for that. After all, every brand out there has tools that fail at some point. Overall though, my impression of Hitachi is good.....well, now I should say Metabo HPT that is. This is the name they are marketing tools under in the United States.

This entry in the cordless impact driver market looks pretty darn good and has a nice feel.

The brushless motor is pretty strong coming at 1832 lbs/inch of torque, while pounding it out at 3400 beats per minute. That's enough to get some work done with ease.

It does have a single LED light above the trigger that is fairly bright.

As I mentioned earlier, it has a nice feel and is well balanced. I do love the small size of this driver and the reasonably light weight. This is great for getting into tight places and working with a reach above head-height.

All in all a nice impact driver.
